Islamic Quran Academy teaches English in live one-on-one Zoom classes, alongside our Quran and Urdu courses. Our students range from young children learning their first English words to adults who want to speak with confidence at work, at school or when they travel.
English is the language of school, work and the internet for millions of families, especially those who have moved to the UK, USA, Canada, Australia or Europe. A child who struggles with English at school, or a parent who avoids phone calls and meetings, feels that gap every day.
Our teachers speak Urdu, English and Arabic. Beginners can ask a question in their own language when they get stuck, which makes the first weeks much easier for learners who know very little English.
In a group class, quiet students rarely get to speak, and mistakes go unnoticed. In a one-on-one class, the teacher hears every sentence you say, corrects your pronunciation on the spot and moves at your speed, not the speed of the group.
Lessons are planned around the learner’s goal. A 6-year-old might spend a month on letter sounds and simple words, while an adult preparing for job interviews might work mainly on speaking and answering questions clearly.
What you learn
The course suits complete beginners and learners who want to improve what they already know. Lessons follow these steps, at the learner’s own pace.
Letter sounds and blending, so young learners can read new words on their own.
Useful words for home, school, food, travel and work.
Short conversations in every class to build confidence and fluency.
Clear sounds and word stress, including sounds that are new to the learner.
Tenses, word order and common mistakes, explained with simple examples.
From short sentences to stories and articles, with understanding checked.
Sentences, paragraphs, emails and short essays, with clear feedback.
Sounds we practice early: learners whose first language is Urdu or Arabic often mix up p and b, v and w, and the th sound in words like think and this. Teachers spot these from the first class and practice them in short drills, so they do not become habits.
Learning Quran or Urdu too? Many families book English alongside our Quran classes for kids or our Urdu course, with all lessons planned around one weekly schedule.
For every learner
Families come to us for different reasons:
Your teacher checks the learner’s level and shows you how lessons work. No payment needed to book the trial.
Our teachers speak Urdu, English and Arabic. Each teacher brings:
Both male and female teachers are available. Tell us if you prefer one, and we will arrange it from the first class.
We match each student with a teacher by age, goals and personality. If the match does not feel right, you can change your teacher.
How classes work
Our process is simple and gets students speaking, reading and writing English with confidence.
Meet a teacher and see how lessons work before you pay anything.
The teacher finds out how much English the student already knows.
Spoken English, school English or full reading and writing.
30 minutes, five days a week, on Zoom.
The teacher reviews progress and adjusts the plan as needed.
If a class is missed, it can be rescheduled.
What a 30-minute class looks like:
Before school, after school or after work. Tell us your time zone and we will match you with a teacher who is free then.
It depends on the learner’s starting level, age and goal. Speaking a little English at home between classes, even 10 minutes a day, makes a real difference. Your teacher checks progress regularly and tells you honestly how the learner is doing.
