We at Quran Pak Teacher are teaching live Quran lessons to students across Finland. Classes run Monday to Friday in Finnish time. Every teacher is a qualified Hafiz or Hafiza. Twenty 30 minute classes cost 30 euros per month. Your first class is free.

Muslim families here do not all speak the same language at home. Arabic is now the third most spoken foreign language in Finland, with around 45,000 speakers, according to Statistics Finland. Somali is spoken by roughly 28,000 people. Most Muslims in Finland have family roots in Somalia, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Turkey, the Balkans or North Africa. The Tatar community has lived here since the 1800s and formed the country’s first Islamic congregation in 1925.

So we do not assume your child speaks Urdu. We teach in English by default. Urdu is there if you want it. You choose the language when you book, not after.

Class Times That Fit a Finnish School Day

Finland runs on Eastern European Time. Our teachers are in Lahore, which is three hours ahead in winter and two hours ahead in summer.

Here is what that means in practice. A 4:00 pm class in Helsinki is 7:00 pm in Lahore. A 6:00 pm class is 9:00 pm. Both are normal working hours for our teachers, so evening slots are easy to fill. We can also teach at 8:00 am Finnish time before school if your evenings are busy.

Your slot is fixed. Same teacher, same time, five days a week. We confirm it in writing before your first paid month starts.

We Follow the Finnish School Calendar

You do not need to email us every holiday. We already have the dates.

Helsinki schools take autumn break from 12 to 16 October 2026, Christmas break from 21 December to 6 January, and winter break from 22 to 26 February 2027, with the spring term ending 5 June, per the City of Helsinki. Espoo and Vantaa run close to the same weeks. Winter break moves by region: week 8 in Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Turku, week 9 in Tampere, Lahti and Jyväskylä, week 10 in Oulu, Kuopio and Rovaniemi. Municipalities set their own dates under guidance from the Finnish National Agency for Education.

Ramadan at 60 Degrees North

This is the part no other Quran school writes about, and it matters here.

Helsinki sits at 60 degrees latitude. In summer the sun sets as late as 10:30 pm, and fasting can stretch close to 20 hours. In northern Finland it can reach 23 hours, and some Muslims there follow the timings of a city further south. RFE/RL reported this directly from a Helsinki imam. Right now the fast is short. Ramadan moves about 11 days earlier each year, so Finnish fasting hours are getting shorter until around 2031, then they will grow again.

During Ramadan we move children’s classes to the afternoon, well before Iftar, so nobody is reciting while tired and hungry. Adult students often prefer a slot after Taraweeh. Tell us which you want and we shift your regular time for the month at no extra cost.

Noorani Qaida

Perfect for beginners, this course introduces the Arabic letters and teaches their correct pronunciation (Makharij), building a strong foundation for Quran reading.

Quran Reading with Tajweed

Designed for students who already know the Arabic letters, this course focuses on reading the Quran fluently while applying proper Tajweed rules.

Hifz (Memorization)

Available five days a week for steady progress, or on weekends for children with a full school schedule. Weekend Hifz naturally takes longer, and we’ll always be upfront about the expected pace before you begin.

Tarjuma and Tafseer

Ideal for older students who wish to go beyond recitation and understand the meaning and deeper interpretation of the Quran.

Urdu Language

We also offer Urdu language instruction alongside our Quran courses.

Courses for Adults

Adults are always welcome. Many of our students are grown men and women learning to read Arabic for the first time. Our teachers are experienced in working with adult beginners and approach every step with patience and understanding.

Fees

Thirty euros per month buys twenty classes. Each class is 30 minutes, one student, one teacher, Monday to Friday. There is no contract and no joining fee.

That is well below what most online academies charge Finnish families. Here is why. The academy is based in Lahore, Pakistan. Our teachers earn a good wage locally on that fee. There is no hidden catch and no reduced class length.

What Parents Can Expect

You may sit in on any class, any time, without asking first. Most parents do for the first two weeks. You can ask for a lesson to be recorded. Classes run on Zoom or Google Meet. Teachers never message a child directly. All contact goes through the parent.
