A Quran teacher St. Vincent & Grenadines families can sit with in person does exist, and you should use one if you can reach it. The US State Department records that the Islamic Center of St. Vincent and the Grenadines runs three mosques and became the country’s first incorporated Islamic nonprofit. For a community this size that is real provision. Quran Pak Teacher is for the two groups those three mosques cannot reach: families out in the Grenadines, and families who want teaching in Urdu.
Three mosques, all on mainland St. Vincent, run by one organisation. The 2023 census records other religions at 0.2 percent of the population, while an older Pew estimate put the figure nearer 2,000 people. Either way the community is small and concentrated around Kingstown.
If you live in Kingstown, Calliaqua or Arnos Vale, a weekly class at the masjid is within reach. Take it. A teacher in the same room corrects faster than a screen.
The three mosques are on the mainland. A child on Bequia, Canouan, Union Island or Mayreau cannot attend weekly, because that means a ferry each way. Even Georgetown or Park Hill is an hour of road from Kingstown for a thirty minute class.
That is the gap. Our teachers work from Lahore, Pakistan. One teacher stays with one student. You meet that teacher before any payment.
About 5,900 Indo-Vincentians live in the country. The ship Travancore arrived from Madras on 1 June 1861 at Edinboro, on the western edge of Kingstown harbour. That landing spot is now called Indian Bay. Families settled at Calder, Richland Park, Rose Bank, Akers, Park Hill and Georgetown.
Muslims who came to the Caribbean under indenture were mostly from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, and mostly Hanafi. Urdu was the language of religious teaching, and for generations Caribbean communities brought scholars from Pakistan to keep it. In Guyana that link broke. Families who once read Urdu lost it, and some Caribbean students were taught letters like pe and che as Arabic, when those letters belong to Urdu script alone.
We teach Hafs recitation in the Hanafi tradition, in Urdu or English. For an Indo-Vincentian family, that is not a new arrangement. It is the same tradition your great-grandparents arrived with.
If your family follows Warsh, we are the wrong choice and we will say so.
The islands use Atlantic Standard Time all year with no clock change. Lahore is nine hours ahead.
| Your time | Lahore | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| 6:00 am | 3:00 pm | Before school |
| 8:00 am | 5:00 pm | Home schooled children |
| 9:00 pm | 6:00 am | Adults after work |
Connection is rarely the problem now. DataReportal counted 75,800 internet users at the end of 2025, about 76 percent of the population, and government wireless sites now reach 116 locations across the mainland and out to Mayreau.
Six courses, taught live, one teacher to one student.
Noorani Qaida is the starting point for a child with no Arabic. Letters, then joining, then short words. Most children finish in four to six months.
Quran reading with Tajweed comes next. The teacher hears the mistake as it happens and has the student repeat it correctly. A recording cannot do this.
Hifz sets a small daily target and keeps old work under revision. Steady beats fast.
Tarjuma gives word by word meaning in Urdu or English.
Tafseer covers context: when a verse came and what it answered. Suited to teenagers and adults.
Urdu reading matters more here than in most places. Families who lost the script can put it back in one generation.
Full list on our courses page. Fees are published on the monthly fee page: twenty classes a month, thirty minutes each. Three trial classes first, no card details taken.
You are giving a stranger time alone with your child. That deserves a straight answer.
Teachers are identity checked and reference checked before they teach. Parents may sit in on any class without telling us first. There is no private messaging between teacher and child, and all contact runs through the parent’s number. If something feels wrong, write through the contact page and a person answers.
Adults start at the first letter here regularly. Nobody else is in the room and nobody is told.
Female teachers are available for girls and for women who prefer them. Mothers often learn alongside a child, in a separate slot.
Three free classes, then you decide. Message us on WhatsApp or use the contact form with ages and the times that suit, and we will match a teacher.
