Quran Teacher UK

Quran Pak Teacher offers Quran Teacher UK classes where a qualified Hafiz or Hafiza teaches your child alone on live video. Lessons run 30 minutes across five weekdays, in English or Urdu. Twenty classes cost £30 a month, and the first three cost nothing.

Why UK families learn the Quran online

The reason is rarely belief or effort. It is timing, distance and the British winter.

Census 2021 from the Office for National Statistics counted 3.9 million Muslims in England and Wales, 6.5% of the population, with the largest numbers in Birmingham, Bradford, Tower Hamlets, Manchester and Newham. In those areas evening Quran classes fill up quickly and the good ones hold waiting lists.

Then there is the dark. In December, Maghrib in London falls before 4pm. A child coming home from an evening class on Alum Rock Road in Birmingham, or walking back from Whitechapel Road near the East London Mosque, is doing it in the dark for a third of the school year, often while a parent is still on shift. Learning Quran online UK wide removes that walk, the waiting list and the clash with homework and tuition in one go.

One honest point. Classes at your local masjid give a child friends, a halaqah and a place in the community that a video call cannot replace. If there is space and the timings work, take it. Many of the families who study with us do both, using our lessons for the one to one correction a child cannot get in a room of twenty.

Your online Quran teacher

Every teacher who takes a lesson is a Hafiz or Hafiza with ten years of teaching behind them, working from Lahore and moving between English and Urdu as the student needs. A child born in Bradford hears a Tajweed rule explained in English while a grandmother from Mirpur, sitting beside them, follows the same explanation in Urdu.

We teach Hafs an Asim. That matters for British families with Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Indian or Gujarati roots, because it is what your masjid recites and what your child hears in Taraweeh. Nothing learned in these classes has to be corrected later.

The difference a private lesson makes is mostly a matter of arithmetic. In a group of twenty or thirty children, one student may read aloud for ninety seconds in an evening. In a one to one class your child reads for the full half hour, and every sound is corrected the moment it happens rather than weeks later.

You also keep the same teacher week after week. If a teacher ever becomes unavailable you hear it from us before the next lesson, and your child’s progress notes go across so nobody restarts from the beginning.

Female Quran teacher for daughters and sisters

Every woman teacher on our team is a Hafiza. Ask when you book and she is assigned before your free classes rather than afterwards, so your daughter never sits through a lesson she is uncomfortable in.

This is the request we receive most often from British families, usually for daughters past ten who would rather not study in a mixed setting. Adult sisters book slots of their own as well, many of them reading properly for the first time, and there is no starting level we consider too basic.

Class times from Glasgow to London

Pakistan keeps the same clock all year, so only the UK side moves. During British Summer Time, Lahore is four hours ahead, which puts a 4:30pm class in Manchester at 8:30pm in Lahore. GOV.UK confirms UK clocks go back at 2am on Sunday 25 October 2026, after which Lahore is five hours ahead and that same 4:30pm class begins at 9:30pm in Lahore.

Straight after school works well the whole year round, because a late UK afternoon is a comfortable Lahore evening rather than the middle of the night. Our teachers work shifts across all hours from Monday to Friday, and we match you with someone already working those hours instead of asking a teacher to stay up for you. That is why a slot booked in October is still running in March. We do not teach at weekends.

Our Quran courses and services

Sahih al Bukhari, hadith 5027, records the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, naming those who learn the Quran and teach it as the best of people. Our courses cover every stage from the first letter.

Noorani Qaida

Noorani Qaida, sometimes written qaida noorani, builds the base every reader needs. Students learn each Arabic letter with its correct sound, then harakat, sukoon, shaddah and tanween, and by the closing lessons they are joining letters into real words drawn from the Quran. It suits a five year old in Luton and a revert in their forties equally, because it assumes nothing.

Quran reading with Tajweed

In Quran reading students move from the Qaida to the Mushaf itself. Our online tajweed classes correct Makharij, Madd and Qalqalah at the moment a mistake happens, because an error caught on the day never becomes a habit that takes months to undo. This is the course that repairs fast but inaccurate reading, which is common in children who learned in large groups.

Hifz

The Hifz course pairs a fresh sabaq in each class with steady revision of pages already memorised. Your teacher sets the daily amount around the student’s age and memory, so a Year 4 child and a university student both keep moving without pressure building up. Progress notes are kept, which means half term and the summer holidays do not cost ground.

Tarjuma

Tarjuma explains what every word of a verse means, in Urdu or English. Students begin with the short surahs they already recite in Salah, so prayer starts carrying meaning within weeks. British born children often ask for this once they realise they have been reciting something daily without knowing what it says.

Tafseer

Tafseer covers why verses were revealed and what they teach about family, character and everyday life. It suits teenagers and adults who already read well, and British Muslim teenagers take it specifically because it gives them answers drawn from the text rather than from whatever they find online.

Learn Urdu

Learn Urdu suits British born children who want to speak with family in Pakistan. Urdu script shares most of its letters with Arabic, so children read it quickly, then build the everyday conversation they need for phone calls with grandparents.

Classes for kids, adults and reverts

Classes for kids stay short, so a lesson fits between the school run and tea without taking the evening. With five classes a week most students read fluently with Tajweed in six to twelve months.

Adults make up a larger share of our students than most people expect. Parents read alongside their children, often relearning what they were taught too quickly as children themselves. NHS and transport staff book slots that move with a rota. Students at Aston University, the University of Bradford and Queen Mary fit lessons around lectures. Reverts begin at the alphabet in a private class with nobody else listening, which for most of them is the reason they chose online in the first place.

Keeping your child safe

No other student ever joins the lesson, and you choose a man or woman teacher before the free classes begin. Stay in the room throughout those three classes and watch how the teacher works before deciding anything. After that, keep the device in a shared space such as the front room rather than a bedroom. Recording works both ways, so ask us before you record a session and we will ask you before we record one. If your child is uncomfortable with a teacher for any reason, tell us and we change the teacher without asking you to justify it.

Fees and what is included

Your £30 monthly fee works out at £1.50 a class, covering twenty one to one lessons of 30 minutes across five weekdays. A lesson can stretch to 40 minutes when a student is partway through something worth finishing, and a missed class can be made up on request. There is no registration fee, no materials fee and no annual contract. Fees are paid by Western Union, and the full fee plan sets out the detail.

How to choose the best online Quran classes UK families can trust

Before paying anyone, including us, check for these five things:

  • A stated price per class, published rather than quoted on request
  • Free classes before any payment, with no card details taken to book them
  • A stated recitation, so you know your child will not have to relearn it later
  • A written policy on missed classes and on what happens if a teacher leaves
  • A real contact point and address, not only a WhatsApp number

It is worth being straight about the alternatives too. Evening classes at a masjid suit a child who does well in a group and gives them friends locally, which is why plenty of families keep both. A tutor marketplace gives you choice, though quality swings widely and tutors come and go. A single academy gives you one teacher and one course structure, which suits a child who needs consistency more than variety.

Book your first class

Send your town, your child’s age, the days that suit you and whether you want a male or female teacher on WhatsApp. We confirm the teacher and a fixed weekday slot before the first lesson. Read what families have written on our testimonials page, then book through the contact page. Our full FAQ answers anything left over. Your first Quran Teacher UK class costs nothing.
